Verusaturk Girişim Sermayesi Yatırım Ortaklığı, 09.01.2012 yılında Verusa Holding tarafından, büyüme potansiyeli yüksek ve rekabet avantajına sahip şirketlerin Türkiye ekonomisine katkı sağlayacak projelerini gerçekleştirmek, sermaye ve karlılıklarına katkı sağlamak, bunun yanı sıra etkin kaynak yönetimi ve örnek kurumsal yapısı ile paydaşlarına değer katmak üzere, Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu’nun (SPK) “Girişim Sermayesi Yatırım Ortaklıklarına İlişkin Esaslar Tebliği’’ kapsamında “Verusaturk Girişim Sermayesi Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş.” ünvanı ile kurulmuştur.
Kuruluşunun ardından Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu’ndan 12.06.2012 tarihinde “Portföy İşletmeciliği Yetki Belgesi” almıştır.2015 yılında Verusaturk şirket paylarının %42,30’u Borsa İstanbul’da (BIST) halka arz edilerek, BIST’de VERTU şirket koduyla işlem görmeye başlamıştır.
