Başkent Doğal Gaz Dağıtım A.Ş. 2007 yılında kurulmuş daha sonra 2013 yılında özelleştirilme ile birlikte Torunlar Enerji bünyesinde geçmiş ülkemizin ilk ve en büyük özel doğal gaz dağıtım şirketi olarak faaliyetlerini sürdürmeye devam etmektedir.

Özelleştirme ile birlikte devraldığı 9.500 km doğal gaz dağıtım hattını, 2020 yıl sonuyla 13.000 km’ye ulaştırmıştır. 2021 sene sonuna kadar lisans bölgesinde bulunan 5 ilçeye daha doğal gaz hizmeti götürerek dağıtım hattını 13.800 km’ye çıkarmayı planlamaktadır.

2037 yılına kadar geçerli olan dağıtım lisansıyla ülkemiz toplam nüfusunun %11’ine doğal gaz dağıtımı gerçekleştirmektedir. Ankara’da 1.9 milyon aboneyi, doğal gaz ile buluşturmaktadır.
