Şirketimizin temelleri bundan 63 yıl önce Mehmet Yayla tarafından İskenderun'da atıldı. O dönemde Amerika'da çalışma furyası sebebiyle Amerika'ya gitmek üzere esas memleketi olan Elazığ'dan İskenderun'a gelen Mehmet Yayla, yolculuğa çıkacağı günü beklerken bildiği iş olan müteaahhitlik ile uğraşmaya başladı. Daha sonra Amerika fikrinden vazgeçip 1950 yılında Yayla İnşaat'ı kurdu. Takip eden yıllarda Yayla İnşaat Kollektif Şirketi adı altında üstyapı projelerini üstlendi ve orada evlenip ailesini kurdu. 1980'lere gelene kadar şehrin belli başlı projelerinin altına başarıyla imza attı ve bu süreçte işlerini de yavaş yavaş kendinden sonra gelen ikinci kuşağa bıraktı.
